XBOX ORIGINAL EMULATOR WII PSP
I prefer the Wii and PSP because of the controller and general ease of use. MCP-X bootrom included in the package is a bad dump. BIOS files: MAME Required for Xbox emulation. Blank HDD image Required for Xbox emulation. I've played through countless old games through all of them. Emulator(s) Backup Note BIOS files: xemu XQEMU Required for Xbox emulation. Unless you want something specific that the Wii can't do, get the Wii.
XBOX ORIGINAL EMULATOR WII PS3
Some emulators may run better on Xbox or PS3 but, for overall best console emulation machine the Wii is in a league of its own right now. It's got pretty much everything you would want and is the easiest of the 3 to setup, update, navigate, maintain, etc. Google/YouTube Wiiflow Masterpiece and you'll see what I mean. The Wii has been hacked for years and has had tons of homebrew support. If it had the support of the Wii the PS3 would be phenomenal. It's not as polished as the Wii, so installing, updating and adding new games is still kind of a hassle. Arcade emulators run great and having fight stick makes it really sweet. The scene isn't nearly as big as the Xbox or the Wii but, it's powerful enough to run decently ported emulators quite well. PS3 - If you're lucky enough to have one, it's actually really good. It's not that it's a bad emulation machine, there are better options now. I don't like using XBMC either again it feels outdated. Hacking the system, adding a new hard drive, setting up an ftp, transferring files to the right folders all winds up taking a bunch of time. #2 It's a pain in the ass to setup and navigate. The Logitech wireless controller was okay 10 years ago along with the wired controller when I had no other options but, it's outdated now and there are better controllers for other consoles now. For certain emulators you may need certain additional files in order to play games. Seriously it's 2015 I have a big TV and a couch across the room, the wired controller is to short. One of the first Xbox emulators, started as an ahead-of-time compiler for Xbox executables. I have the Logitech and it's mediocre at best. #1 Wireless controllers suck on this machine period.
I have 2 beefs with the Xbox, although I could look past #2, I just feel that the Wii and PS3 are better options. Xbox - The Xbox has some great emulators, most are probably better than the other two, but that isn't the only thing that makes an emulation machine great. Wii>PS3>Xbox imo (yes I have all 3) here's why: God I hope the Vita gets on this level someday. I'd rather play Neo Geo Pocket and GBA games on the PSP because the screen is larger and back lit.
XBOX ORIGINAL EMULATOR WII PLUS
Plus it has a really easy system to navigate and setup which is a huge plus for me. Get the 2x MicroSD card adapter for massive storage. The usual emulators NES, Gen, Sega CD, SNES, GB/C/A, etc. PS1 emulation is basically perfect as well.
Perfect CPS1/2 and Neo Geo emulation still blows my mind. For the record the PSP is fantastic for emulation, especially for a handheld.
